漬物 Tsukemono

  

A dish of pickled chinese cabbage, cucumber, radish, and eggplant.
There are a lot of kinds of pickles in Japan. For example, “浅漬け asazuke”, “ぬか漬け nukazuke”, “粕漬け kasuzuke”, “麹漬け koujizuke” and all that. And usually they are served when eating rice.

Another name it is known by is oshinko. Please note that “漬物 Tsukemono”, “お新香 Oshinko”, and hows to call are different because of the shop.
